ABSTRACT Cell and tissue functions rely on the genetic programmes cascades of biochemical signals. It has become evident during past decade that physical properties soft material govern mechanics cells tissues play an important role in cellular function morphology. The biophysical are determined by cytoskeleton, consisting dynamic networks F-actin microtubules, molecular motors, crosslinkers other associated proteins, among factors such as cell–cell interactions. Drosophila syncytial embryo represents a simple pseudo-tissue, with its nuclei orderly embedded structured cytoskeletal matrix at embryonic cortex no separation membranes. Here, we review stereotypic dynamics regulation cytoskeleton embryos how underlies emergence collective features. We highlight specific features processes discuss applicability approaches.
